보헌 빌딩 _ Boheun Building

북촌마을은 서울 유일의 전통 한옥 밀집 지역으로 경복궁, 창덕궁 그리고 극원(비원)과 인접한 북악산 기슭에 자리잡고 있다. 이곳에 들어선 보헌빌딩은 주변 경관을 해치지 않으면서 기존 질서와 자연스럽게 어우러질 수 있도록 디자인하는 데 주안점을 두었다. 또한 전통 한옥과 콘크리트 건축의 이질적인 요소의 충돌을 전통 건축 재료와 휴먼 스케일의 내부 공간 구성을 통해 바람직하게 해결하고자 했다. 도로에 면한 외벽은 절제되면서도 자유로운 입면이 되도록 해 대지에 꽉 찬 매스의 비대감을 약화시키고 있으며 중정을 향해 열려 있는 내부의 외벽은 커튼 월로 처리해 사용자로 하여금 잘 정돈된 안마당과 같은 중정을 만끽하도록 했다. 지하 1층 중정으로 쏟아지는 햇볕과 빗소리는 지하 공간이라는 사실을 잊게 하며 마치 집 안마당을 바라보고 있는 즐거움을 준다.

Bukchon Village is the only traditional hanok area in Seoul and is located at the foot of Bukaksan Mountain, adjacent to Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace, and the Theater (Secret Garden). The Bohon Building built here is mainly designed to harmonize with the existing order and nature without damaging the surrounding scenery. In addition, the conflict between the different elements of traditional hanok and concrete architecture was tried to be resolved preferably through the internal space composition of traditional building materials and human scale. The outer wall facing the road is restrained but free to stand, reducing the bloated feeling of trout packed on the ground, and the inner wall facing the courtyard is treated with curtain walls to make users enjoy the well-organized courtyard-like courtyard. The sound of sunlight and rain falling on the courtyard on the first basement floor makes you forget the fact that it is an underground space and gives you the pleasure of looking at the courtyard of your house.
