마리나베이 서울 _ Hotel Marinabay Seoul

서해와 한강을 잇는 아라뱃길 축상에 위치한 대지에 물길이 흐른다. 그 물길 위에 단아하고 세련된 크루즈 한척이 새 물길을 향해 항해를 시작한다'는 컨셉을 바탕으로 외부 조망을 가지는 최대의 객실수의 볼륨 형성과, 인접 건물로 가려지는 조망개선을 위한 볼륨 변형, 정면 개방감 확보를 위해 일부 볼륨의 삭제 및 이동에 방향성을 두었다. 건물의 입면은 아라뱃길에 떠 있는 크루즈를 모티브로 하여 계획하고, 주변과의 조화를 위해 대지에 순응하면서 자연을 향한 조망을 확보하도록 배치하였다. 대지의 공공성 확보를 위해 전면과 배면에 공원화하여 지역의 공공공간 형성 및 가로를 활성화하여 쉼터를 제고하고 주출입구 drop off zone과 지하 주차장 출입의 원활함을 위해 원형의 순환 광장을 계획하였다. 요트 계류장과 만이 결합된 지형을 뜻하는 ‘마리나베이’라는 호텔명에 걸맞게 강변의 풍광과 도심 경관을 모두 즐길 수 있는 오감만족의 공간이 될 것이다.

A waterway flows through the earth located on the axis of Arabekgil, which connects the West Sea and the Han River. Based on the concept of an elegant and sophisticated cruise ship sailing toward a new waterway, we have directed some volumes to form the largest number of guest rooms with an external view, volume deformation to improve the view blocked by adjacent buildings, and a sense of front opening. The building's standing surface was planned with the motif of a cruise floating in Arabecil, and was arranged to ensure a natural view while adjusting to the earth to harmonize with the surrounding area. In order to secure the public nature of the site, a circular circulation square was planned to be formed in front and back to form local public spaces and revitalize streets to improve rest areas, and to facilitate the entry and exit of the main entrance drop-off zone and underground parking lot. It will be a five-sense space where you can enjoy all the scenery and urban scenery of the riverside, suitable for the hotel name "Marina Bay," which means the topography of the yacht mooring and bay.
