강릉 올림픽 특구 MP _ Gangneung Culture Olympics Zone

2018 평창 동계 올림픽을 문화 올림픽으로 거행하기 위해 종합 특구로 지정, 개발하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있으며, 대회를 성공적으로 개최함은 물론 그 문화유산을 공고히 하고 지속적인 지역 문화 발전의 기틀을 마련하고자 지정하였다. 그리고 동계 올림픽 레거시(legacy)를 활용하여 관광객들이 장기간 체류하고 즐길 수 있는 관광 인프라 개발에 목표를 두고 있다.

The purpose of the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics is to be designated and developed as a comprehensive special zone to hold the Games successfully, as well as to strengthen its cultural heritage and lay the foundation for sustainable regional cultural development. In addition, the goal is to develop a tourism infrastructure that tourists can enjoy staying for a long time using legacy at the Winter Olympics.
